Goodbye 2025! What a year it’s been. With Trump in office, every day was something new. Since I’ve been alive, there have been eight different presidents in the White House, and none have ever popped up in the news as much as our current president. If you combined how much people knew about every other president over the past 40 years, it wouldn’t equal what the media has thrust upon us about our current president over the span of his 5-year rule…so far.

Honestly, I just wish for a year of calm and peace. However, given our track record, and who our current leaders are, it’s not going to happen. To cover just a little bit of things that happened this year:

1. Tariff Wars: did we win? Depends. Are you a billionaire? If not, then no. As the average consumer, most of us saw all the prices go up. Groceries, housing, gas, etc. And guess what, it’s not going back down. Remember how companies raised prices during the pandemic, citing global shortages? Well, no more shortage, and prices stayed the same. All the while, the companies posted massive profits. Deja vu anyone?
2. Epstein Files: oh, such mysterious files. The files that simultaneously existed as a hoax by the Democrats, while never having existed in the first place, somehow spending millions to redact them, but having no reason to be redacted in the first place because who you think is in it, really isn’t in it, but don’t look into it, because it’s missing files, but no worries, because the DOJ has all the files, except it doesn’t matter because it’s fake, so of course we’ll release them! All so that nothing will happen.
3. The Rise of AI: From art to industry, AI is forced into every aspect of every part of our lives, whether we want it or not. From search queries to fake videos, AI is touted as the next evolution of human existence. It’s going to make everybody’s lives easier! Please ignore the energy costs, the job losses, the unpredictability, and the cluelessness of implementation. Say hello to stolen art, crappy code, and uninspired word form. Remember when the internet was unleased upon the masses? It was the wild wild west of the digital age. Now it’s AI’s turn. Deja vu anyone?

I’ll cap at here, but let’s not discount the rest of 2025 – from global conflicts erupting around the world, to the rise of home grown terrorism in our country, sprinkled with political assassinations, and government shutdowns. Oh what a wild ride. Anybody else enjoying this rollercoaster? Or are you all nauseous and wishing you had chosen the boring merry-go-round instead?

Let’s end on a brighter note. GLP’s to the rescue! Who would’ve thought a diabetes drug would become the possible cure to the obesity epidemic! Pickleball craziness! Screw all the haters. An assessable, easy to pick up, easy to play sport that gets people engaged and moving?! Say less! Forget the nasties, the haters, the downers. Live your best life ‘cus it’s yours to enjoy!
